Marine Crew personnel were involved in each location and all marine and underwater coordination. The marine department was singled out by the producers for the excellent, safe, and efficient work on over 200 onset days. POTC II & III was the longest most complex water theme movie ever filmed. Marine Crew provided marine coordination for all scenes filmed on the Chesapeake and in Baltimore harbor. Marine Crew members provided the marine and underwater support for this drama filmed in Nassau, Bahamas and Hawaii.

The Marine Crew team planned and organized all of the underwater unit safety and logistics. We set up planned staged decompression dives to over 250’ with the Mark IV IMAX camera housing. We set up full cave diving operations and penetrated STARGATE Bluehole in South Andros with the IMAX Mark II housing. This location is over 300’ deep and is located inland, beyond any main roads. Marine Crew was the primary consultant for the underwater unit. We provided the expertise and handling of the sharks and safety for the cast and crew. We instructed the cast on the techniques of “Free Scuba”, or diver to diver swimming on compressed air. We set up all the diving operations, planning and logistics for over 60 underwater shooting days.
